Abby Coleman's, HIT105FM, weight loss transformation

Hit105FM’s Abby Coleman, morning radio host took the plunge and lost 4kgs but more importantly, dropped her body fat by over 5%, maintained her muscle and went from 26 to 19 years in her biological age with the Doc's weight loss meals designed for fat loss and metabolic health.

Rather than tape measures and ordinary scales, our doctors use a patient’s individual biometrics and body composition results using the latest advanced bio-electrical impedance analysis which provides the highest level of clinical accuracy to calorie and portion control our weight loss meals to them.

With Abby's basal metabolic rate (BMR) at 1438 calories per day (your BMR is the amount of energy your body burns at rest on a daily basis), Dr Phillip Wuth, CEO and founder, recommended that she begin on 1200 calories a day from the Doc's weight loss meals. She received breakfast, lunch and dinner for 5 days a week from the Doc's Dairy Free menu and on the other two days she put into practice what she'd been eating, seeing and living to help her maintain her fat loss more successfully in the long term. You can take a look at Abby's meals each day which were which were portioned and calorie controlled to her as per Dr Wuth's recommendation.

The Doc's weight loss meals "are not intended to be a long term meal replacement plan. It is intended to be a short to medium term educational service with professional guidance so that people can start to live, eat and experience appropriate portion controlled and nutritionally complete food on a daily basis", Dr Wuth explained.

With the Doc's weight loss meals and regular follow ups with Dr Wuth every fortnight, the results speak for themselves! Abby lost about 4kgs and went from 65.5kg to 61.6kg. More importantly, she dropped her body fat by over 5% from 26.3% to 21.7%. Dropping your body fat, even just by 5%, has been shown to directly reduce the risk of certain conditions such as cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes, Dr Wuth said.

Abby also dropped her visceral fat, which is fat that surrounds your abdominal organs, a whole percentage from 3.0 to 2.0 which may not seem like much but which is one of the most difficult and most important areas to drop fat. Too much visceral fat creates can lead to inflammation and high blood pressure, which increases the risk of serious health problems.

With fortnightly follow ups with Dr Wuth and regular personal training sessions which focussed on strength training, Abby successfully maintained her muscle mass of 45.8kg and her BMR of 1423 calories per day which is the key to help keep the fat off. This is because your BMR is the number of calories required to keep your body functioning while you are not doing any physical activities. So, the higher your BMR and the more muscle you have the more calories you burn at rest. This is one of the key biometrics our Doctors monitor at your fortnightly follow up to make sure that your weight loss and health journey is a success.
