To Your Home
- Doctor support: one-on-one check in with a Doctor’s Kitchen Doctor who will provide you with a personalised medical report of your health at the start of the program and recommend a plan to help you achieve your goals
- Dietitian support: one-on-one session with an accredited dietitian who will create an individualised meal plans that considers your food preferences and recommended calorie intake and blood glucose targets
- Dedicated Nurse support: regular check-ins with a Doctor's Kitchen nurse to review and discuss your progress
- Diabetes Educator support (levels 2 and 3 only): one-on-one session to assist empower you to effectively self-manage the care and treatment of your prediabetes or diabetes
- Body Composition Scales: delivered to you for you to borrow and use during the program (you’ll need to return these at the completion of the program – or you have the opportunity to purchase them at a discounted price)
- Real Time Glucose Monitoring: you’ll be able to use a Continuous Glucose Monitor for the first month of your program, to help you monitor and understand your sugar levels, and the impact that diet and exercise has on your health
- Daily Resistance Training Plan: tailored to your fitness level, you’ll receive a training plan that you can do at home or outdoors, to help maintain your muscle mass and boost your metabolism
- Access to the clinical support team to help keep you accountable and motivated, recipes and shopping lists, the Doctor’s Health & Weight Tracker app, Doc Blogs
- 9 months continued support following the completion of your 12-week program, to help make your changes sustainable and lifelong.
Personalised programs to suit your needs
We understand that there's no one size fits all approach to diabetes management. That's why we offer three levels of programs personalised to suit your circumstances with each program running over 12 instensive weeks with 9 months continuing support.

Step 1: Welcome call
by our dedicated nurses
Following this call, you will receive an email which sets out the steps you need to take before your first Doctor's consultation. You will also receive a step by step guide to using the scales, medical health results template (used by you to record your results from the scales), and healthy range chart (to understand your results).

Step 2: Your first Doctor's consultation
- discuss your results from the body composition scales to help you understand your overall health (including weight, body fat %, body water %, muscle mass (kg), basal metabolic rate (BMR) (cal per day at rest), biological age, visceral fat rating, bone mass, and BMI)
- provide an initial health assessment and risk factors for chronic disease
- discuss how the Program will support your health and weight goals and any current chronic condition or health condition that you may have and how you are currently addressing with your treating GP, and the benefits of preventing these conditions from developing further
- recommend a calorie intake per day for your prescribed meals

Step 3: Your Doctor's Prescription

• how to access to the Doc’s Blog (this will support you to stay focussed)

Step 4: Delivery of your calorie controlled meals
The dedicated Lite n' Easy consultant will lock in your meal order for the first 4 weeks. You will receive:
- breakfast, lunch and dinner (and snacks if included) for 5 days for the first two weeks;
- lunch and dinner for 5 days for the third week;
- dinners only for 5 days for the fourth week.

Step 5: Weekly consultations with either a nurse, dietitian, diabetes educator, clinical team member
- an Accredited Dietitian: to help you create an individualised meal plans that considers your food preferences based on the calorie intake recommended, nutritional goals, and blood glucose targets. You'll learn how to better master portion control and more confidently make healthier food choices every day.
- a credentialled diabetes educator (for levels 2 and 3 only): to guide and empower you to more effectively self-manage the care and treatment of your prediabetes or diabetes.
- a registered nurse: to review your health progress, goals, and any obstacles you're facing. They'll held identify underlying issues and challenges like stress or anxiety and provide referrals where needed, so nothing stands in the way of your success.
- a clinical team member: to keep you accountable, motivated and on track. They'll check in on your daily resistance training, help troubleshoot challenges, answer your questions and celebrate your wins with you!

Step 6: Your final Doctor's consultation + reflection and achievement of goals!
- your biometric measurements and blood glucose changes and be able to compare your results from when you first started
- ongoing strategies that suit your lifestyle;
- celebrate the member's successes and encourage maintenance or continuation of their health journey.
You will also receive a Medical Award of Health Participation as a record and acknowledgement of your your incredible commitment to the Diabetes First Program and transformation to your health.
Even though you may have completed the program, you will be followed by by our clinical team 3, 6 and 9 months after you have completed. You will also continue to receive support in the way of access to the Doctor’s Health & Weight Tracker APP, recipes and shopping lists, resistance training workout plan, and access to our member care support team. You will also receive a once off upfront discount code if you decide that you would like to continue on the calorie controlled meals and also be given the opportunity to purchase the body composition scales at a significant discount.
